Verti-Block Retaining Walls

Verti-Block Retaining Wall Video

Right Look. Right Strength. Right Size.

Verti-Block was created with landscaping in mind. When you need a solution for retaining walls and other landscape projects, nothing stacks up quite like Verti-Block. Unique in size, shape, and flexibility of use, Verti-Block is an ideal solution for commercial, contractor, and municipal projects across Northwest Arkansas. With its unique hollow design, it is lighter and more affordable than solid block, making it easier to handle.

  • Standard Block — precast concrete retaining wall block

    Standard Block

    1,760 lbs (800 kg)

The workhorse. A 4' x 2' face, 3' deep — roughly 90% of every wall is standard blocks.

  • Top Block — precast concrete retaining wall block

    Top Block

    1,312 lbs (595 kg)

Same face as the standard block, with a cutout that lets soil and grass finish flush over the top course.

  • Half Block — precast concrete retaining wall block

    Half Block

    1,070 lbs (480 kg)

A 2' x 2' face — half the width of a standard block. Needed at the ends of every other course to keep the running bond.

  • Corner Block — precast concrete retaining wall block

    Corner Block

    1,600 lbs (720 kg)

    For outside corners: a 4' x 2' face with a 2' x 2' return face on either side.

  • Half Step Block — precast concrete retaining wall block

    Half Step Block

    970 lbs (440 kg)

Steps wall elevation in 1' increments, or dials in a precise finished height.

  • Mass Extender — precast concrete retaining wall block

    Mass Extender

A deeper base-course block that adds mass where the wall needs it most — taller walls start here.

Features

Speed

  • Dry-Stack, no mortar system — blocks interlock and set with an excavator, so walls go up in days, not weeks
  • Hollow design makes for a less labor-intensive process than traditional cast-in-place walls — so smaller crews, less downtime on your site
  • Large-format blocks (4′ x 2′, 3′ deep) mean fewer pieces to place per square foot of wall
  • No cure time waiting on poured concrete — backfill and keep the project moving

Strength & engineering

  • Blocks interlock with a built-in setback that improves strength and maximizes gravity-wall height
  • True load-bearing gravity walls; with geogrid reinforcement, walls can reach 30+ feet
  • Mass extender base blocks add depth to the bottom course for taller or heavily loaded walls
  • Engineered system with published design manuals and spec sheets — ready for review by an engineer (we do that too!)
  • The open core facilitates drainage and reduces hydrostatic pressure behind the wall; gravel-filled cores lock the wall in place while letting water move
